View Photo »The first two games I played against him, I didn't really have too many really good chances, and tonight I had a couple good chances
That would be awesome if it went exactly like that ... Just his presence in net. You look down there and you see Ryan Miller. He makes shooters think twice whether or not to pass. When you shoot, you feel like it's got to be a perfect shot to score on him.
Actually, they're probably happy with the result
I am making good on my aspect of my wager with Dimitri, my Canadian counterpart, who is somewhere several hundred miles north laughing ... The No. 39 is for Ryan Miller, who of course was the United States goalie and the tournament MVP.
It was fun ... He had a couple of good chances.
I want to do my best and win games ... It's why you play hockey. That's what I try to bring every night. I'm not Ryan Miller. I'm just Patrick Lalime and I try to bring my best.
He proved that he belongs
It is quite possible. There has been an incredible outpouring of support for Ryan Miller to get a key to the city. He is a tremendous athlete. He is a fine person. He is an extremely active member of the community civically
My grandparents will be there, they were up in Vancouver, but mainly it will be people I haven't seen at all
Yeah, you're from Buffalo but you got Ryan Miller.
Apparently Twitter is the thing to be doing ... The fact that I'm popping up in this different world is pretty cool for hockey and a little surreal for me.
Ryan Miller is probably reading this (play) and thinking: 'We're okay, there's not a panic here, there are no red flags going up.' I think that momentary lapse in concentration was (trouble) for him.
It's important for hockey ... If people are interested in me it's my job to be available.
I absolutely believe it is imperative to build up the stars that shined the most in the Olympics, if not nationally then at least in the cities they play ... Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin are going to be marketed forever and they should, but I think this is the time for the Devils to market Zach Paris...
I'm going to go a long time before that happens again ... It was a little surreal. Usually they want to tell you that you're not a very good player, but they use other language.
I never really got into a rhythm this year ... Whether it was my fault or not, I never completely found it. I wasn’t that far off. The Olympics seemed to help a lot. The Olympics were a fantastic experience as far as practicing on a daily basis against great talent. But for me, because I knew Ryan Mille...
I did make a tactical error, but had he not caught the puck kind of behind him and made one motion to shoot, if he had taken a look, I had the advantage
Losing that [final] game was obviously extremely disappointing, but we sure came a long way from [summer orientation camp in] Chicago where we basically were all getting made fun or except for Ryan Miller.
It’s not just about the NHL all the time, it’s about the good of the game ... That spins into being something that’s very good for the NHL.
Timmy was great there ... He came knowing that Ryan Miller was probably going to play in every game. When that game got out of hand, without saying to our team that the game was over or to the Finns, I wanted to give Timmy the opportunity. I asked him if he wanted to go in for a cleanup role like that. ...
I’m trying to roll with it, because it seems like that’s what is necessary to grow the game and help our league out ... I’ll open up a little bit if it helps.
That was the best ... You could come home from school and watch it right away. I loved watching it, I loved Ryan Miller. Watching him makes me feel like if I play well, we can win.
it was mixed emotions ... kind of bittersweet at the end.
The afterglow of the USA-Canada game will have a very short-lived viewership in America, if at all, though I’d imagine some casual fans will tune into see Sidney Crosby or Ryan Miller if those teams happen to be playing on television ... The more interesting question is whether the NHL can get some trac...
He has a trademark thing going now ... He's done it a few times in Madison Square Garden. I'm sure the fans here aren't loving it too much, but we're having fun with it.
