View Photo »It was been our attitude this year that we are never out of a game ... Especially with the way things are right now.
I pray to God that Dustin Brown is this good three weeks from tonight (at the Olympics) because he dominated our defence
We didn't play a very good first, but I think it's been our attitude this year that we're never out of a game, especially with the way things are right now ... Winning nine games in a row is obviously a franchise record, and I think what's special about it is that it's a team accomplishment. We haven't ...
I pray to God Dustin Brown is this good three weeks from tonight
I'm always physically sore after playing them ... They play hard.
Not necessarily. Dustin Brown is the captain in L.A. and there are a lot of young guys. You never know what they want to do
I'm still a little overwhelmed
It was a pretty tough nap for me last night. I was up; I was sleeping; I was back and forth. I was pretty nervous. I really didn't know what my chances were, although I knew I had an outside shot. When I got the call, I was still half-asleep. It was pretty early for me. I was waking up, and I actually h...
I’m really pleased with the investigation and it just brings everything to light that’s happened ... It makes me realize that I’m not the one that’s causing all the problems. I’m also not the only one that’s been abused.
His hands around the net are world class, it's one of those things where you can pick up a few little things he does really well ... Obviously he brings an offensive threat to our team.
He's almost like a rubber band ... He absorbs hits very well, something I could definitely improve on in my game. I'm more of a physical, try to reverse-hit guys; he'll just kind of take the hit and spin off. A lot of the time that's how he gets free.
Our game plan was to get a lot of shots on net tonight and that's what we did ... We got goals from five different guys and the shots were getting through. It was a good team effort tonight.
It was one of those times where these two points are bigger than any other two points we've had the rest of the year ... I just got in on the forecheck a couple times and turned over a couple pucks, and when you do that, good things happen.
I thought we kept a pretty good game plan ... No one really overextended themselves trying to do too much, which can happen in a building like this.
We had to battle from behind, but I think we played, not only hard, but played with our heads ... We played within our system, and when we do that we can play with anybody in the league as long as we are playing within our system and we have everyone on board.
This could be a once-in-a-lifetime shot and any time you get the chance to play in the Olympics and to represent your country it is a huge honor
Adding Scuds and Smitty was a huge help, and having Odie back
I think I was excited but comfortable about being in the leadership role. But there is a lot to learn at this level
Tonight was a much better effort for a result ... I think we played a pretty good game. We had to battle from behind, but I think we played, not only hard, but played with our heads. We played within our system, and when we do that we can play with anybody in the league, as long as we are playing within...
I think part of the responsibility lies with the leadership group, but ultimately each individual has to prepare themselves ... If we all prepare ourselves individually and get ready for the game, we go out and we do our thing and we're fine. It's when you only have one line here, or one defensive pairi...
We just found away to win ... The points are so important right now with Detroit right behind us. Once we're in the playoffs, we will say this was huge.
We just found a way to win ... Over the course of the year there are many up-and-down games that maybe we should or should not have won. I think it all evens out in the end. It’s just a matter of being consistent.
I think we got away from our game in the second period. Stopped getting pucks to the net, stopped coming into the zone, tried to get fancy as opposed to just chipping it and going to get it ... That's probably our lull.
It seems like a lot of games lately, this year, with this team, we're down by a couple goals when you hit that 10-minute mark and all of a sudden, and it's hard to put a finger on, but we find a way
